The vaguely green-fingered thoughts of a rambling rose.

Acer aureum

Golden Maple

With interest in spring and autumn due to the colour changing leaves, this acer unfurls rich red leaves which turn yellow then green to provide dappled shade, before turning yellow once more for autumn.  Attractive green striped bark.
Acer aureum was planted in the Long Border in May 2019.

Prune in February or if necessary in full leaf to prevent bleeding.

Does well in a sheltered position in full sun to part shade. Avoid planting near a busy road.
13x8ft in 10 years.
