Lilac

In spring, sweetly scented pinky-lilac florets with white edging to each tiny flowerlet. Large heart shaped leaves keep the interest during summer.
Planted in the Long Border in July 2017, moved to the Terrace Border in autumn 2019.

Prune lightly or renovate in winter. Deadhead promptly after flowering to help promote big blooms the following year.

Full sun.
Alkaline-neutral soil.
10 x 10ft after 20 years.
