The vaguely green-fingered thoughts of a rambling rose.

Acer palmatum Sango-kaku

Coral bark maple

The vivid red stems in winter are smothered in firey toned young foliage before turning green.  The leaves then change to yellow in the autumn.  Planted in the Yen Garden in early spring 2019.

Does well in a sheltered position in full sun to part shade.

Prefers acidic to neutral soil.

25 x 20ft in 20 years.
