In late May 2020 we planted this ornamental cherry tree in the Long Border. As the name suggests, it promises "sumptuous displays of fragrant flowers" but due to Covid-19 and the lockdown, we missed buying it in time for the display so I'll update this page as the tree establishes.
As with all prunus, pruning should take place in June to prevent silver leaf.
Plant in full sun. Apply an annual mulch in the spring and feed with blood, fish and bone in March and June.

Large clusters of white semi-double blossoms age to pale pink. Inedible fruit.
Foliage emerges bronze, turning green and the orange in the autumn.
