Family: Asphodelaceae (previously Liliaceae).

Perennial. Herbaceous, but can be evergreen in milder areas.

Site: Full sun or partial shade. 

Common names: Daylily. 

Notes

* Divide in spring or autumn. 

* Can suffer gallmidge. Dispose of these rounded buds and do not compost. 

* Deadhead regularly with care to prevent snapping off new buds.
