Common names: Hortensia

*To keep a blue hydrangea blue, bury rusty nails and screws in a very large planting hole and back fill with ericaceous compost. 
*Plant in a container of ericaceous compost, replacing the top inch or so each year with fresh ericaceous compost. 
*Water with rainwater as tap water contains lime.
