The vaguely green-fingered thoughts of a rambling rose.

During the week I had some time off and was able to cut back the unscented honeysuckle on the right hand side of the patio arch.  I didn't however have the strength to dig it up so it waited until the weekend.

TMTC dug and dug, and scraped and dug some more but the rootball did not yield before the fork snapped in half!

The new rose 'Gertrude Jeykll' is now in the perfect spot to climb the arch elegantly, while providing a rich perfume to those sitting in the new seats beside it.
